Euro Advance Association is a non-governmental organization established in Sofia in 2013. The Association’s non-profit activities are related to organizing various public initiatives and events, analyses on topics related to Europe and the European Union, local and regional self-government. The Association is the winner of the European Citizen's Prize of the European Parliament for 2021.

What we want to achieve

Mission and goals

Among our main goals are the promotion and support of initiatives related to local and regional development, promotion of cooperation between Bulgarian and European regions, youth empowerment, support for the development of civil society and assistance in developing and building a new model for cooperation between the non-governmental sector and government institutions with the aim of improving the support for young people.

Activities

The Association maintains "TheMayor.EU - the European portal for cities and citizens", which publishes daily news and good practices introduced by local and regional authorities in the European Union. TheMayor.EU has proven to be a trusted media partner and actively works with municipalities from different corners of the EU, public institutions at European, local and regional level, as well as international NGOs working on urban development, sustainability, culture and youth empowerment.

Chairman

Boyan Tomov is the Chairman of Euro Advance and founder of TheMayor.EU. He has over 10 years of experience in media, public relations and public communications in various positions. Boyan holds bachelor's and master's degrees in Political Science from the New Bulgarian University.

Project Manager

Aseniya has been part of the team of the Association since 2018, managing and initiating various projects of the organization. She is responsible for the development of the portal TheMayor.EU, represents the organization in the European project EUDIGIT. Aseniya holds a bachelor's degree in Political Science and a master's degree in Political Management and Public Policies from the New Bulgarian University.
